  • Deluxe Facial + Professional Peel — the premium facial experience with a peel included.
  • Retinoic Acid Peel Mask — intensive treatment applied and worn for 6–8 hours.

What to expect

Every session starts with a quick look at your skin so the treatment can be adjusted on the day. Peels may tingle briefly while active; facials are simply relaxing.

Afterwards your skin may look a little flushed for an hour or two. With deeper peel options, light flaking over the following days is part of the renewal process — your therapist will walk you through aftercare for your specific treatment.

Who it suits — and who it does not

Peels and facials suit dullness, congestion, uneven texture and tone, and skin that simply feels tired. Strength is matched to your skin at assessment, so the same appointment name covers anything from a gentle hydrating treatment to a more active resurfacing one.

They are not appropriate over active infection or cold sores, on skin currently or recently on oral isotretinoin, during pregnancy for some formulations, or where skin is already irritated and over-exfoliated — which is more common than people expect. If your barrier is compromised, the right answer is to calm it first, and we will say so.

Aftercare and how many sessions

Not every peel makes you visibly peel, and how much you flake is a poor guide to how well it worked. Where flaking happens it is usually days three to five — leave it alone rather than helping it off, which is the fastest route to a mark.

Pause other exfoliants, acids and retinoids for about five to seven days, moisturise more than feels necessary, and use daily SPF50+. A planned series spaced a few weeks apart changes texture and tone far more reliably than occasional one-offs. Our guide to peel aftercare covers the week in detail. Individual results vary.

Good to know

Will I peel, and can I go to work?

Often you will not visibly peel at all, particularly with lighter and hydrating treatments. Where flaking does happen it is usually mild and around days three to five. We will tell you what to expect from the strength you are having so you can plan.

How is a peel different from exfoliating at home?

Strength and control. In-clinic formulations are more active and are applied to a defined endpoint after an assessment. Daily scrubbing at home tends to irritate rather than resurface — doing less at home is often what makes the in-clinic work land.

Which facial or peel should I choose?

It depends on your skin and your goal — a deep cleanse for congestion, a professional peel for renewal and glow, or the premium facial experience that combines both. Your therapist will recommend the right option when you book, or message us and we will point you to the best fit.

How much do they cost?

Treatments start from $165. The exact price depends on the option you choose — confirmed when you book.

Is there any downtime?

Our cosmeceutical peel options are designed for minimal to no downtime — many are a perfect lunchtime refresh. Deeper peels can cause some flaking over the following days; your therapist will explain exactly what to expect for your option.

Are peels safe during pregnancy?

Our Ultraceuticals cosmeceutical peel is pregnancy-safe and suitable for all skin types. Always let us know if you are pregnant or breastfeeding when booking so we choose the right treatment.

How often should I have one?

Most clients maintain results with a facial or peel every 4–6 weeks, often alternating with other skin treatments. Your therapist will map out a rhythm for your skin.
