A skin-quality and rejuvenation treatment
This is a skin-rejuvenation treatment that supports the skin's natural repair processes to help improve overall skin quality — including hydration, elasticity and texture. Where a practitioner assesses it to be appropriate, it can be used on the face, neck and décolletage. Suitability, options and what to expect are discussed at your individual consultation.

How it works
The treatment supports the skin's natural repair processes, which may help improve hydration, elasticity and texture and support overall skin quality over time. Your practitioner will explain the approach, and whether it may be suitable for you, at consultation. Individual results vary.
Advise your registered practitioner if you…
- Have an auto-immune disorder
- Are regularly taking anticoagulation therapy (i.e. Warfarin, Heparin)
- Have a severe metabolic or systemic disorder
- Have active sunburn, eczema or psoriasis
- Are currently taking antibiotics
- Are under 18 years of age
Treatment preparation
- Avoid blood-thinning medication such as aspirin, ibuprofen, Ginkgo Biloba and fish oil one week prior to treatment
- Avoid alcohol
- Have a meal and increase your water intake

What to expect after treatment
- Immediately after: the skin may appear slightly red or swollen in the treated areas, generally subsiding within a few hours to a couple of days
- Results: many people start to see improvements within a few weeks, with full effects after a few months — gradual but long-lasting
- Recovery: minimal downtime; most people resume normal activities immediately
- Side effects: usually mild — redness, swelling, bruising or slight discomfort at the injection site
Follow-up appointment
A follow-up appointment 4 weeks after treatment is recommended to ensure you are happy with the results and that optimum results have been achieved. During the follow-up, we take pictures to compare with the before pictures. We also re-book your next appointment in 6 months' time so you can maintain your results.

Frequently Asked Questions
What concerns can a skin-rejuvenation treatment address?
It is generally chosen for skin texture, hydration and elasticity concerns. Your practitioner will assess whether it suits your skin — and which option is appropriate — at your consultation.
How many sessions will I need?
A course of sessions spaced several weeks apart is common. Your personalised plan is confirmed at consultation, and results develop gradually and vary between individuals.
How much does it cost?
Australian advertising rules do not allow prices for prescription-only treatments to be published. Pricing is provided at your consultation once your practitioner has assessed what is suitable for you.
Is there any downtime?
Temporary redness or small marks at the treatment area are common and usually settle within a few days. Your practitioner will take you through aftercare step by step.
What are the risks?
As with any procedure there are potential risks and side effects, and results vary between individuals. Your practitioner will discuss these openly at your consultation so you can make an informed decision.
